Fronting for emphasis and concession
انقل الكلمات إلى مقدمة الجملة للتوكيد، وعبّر عن التنازل بصيغ مثل Strange as it may seem.
تضع الإنجليزية الفاعل أولًا في العادة، لكن الكتّاب المهرة يقدّمون (front) عنصرًا ما بوضعه في بداية الجملة لخلق توكيد أو تباين أو ربط سلس بالجملة السابقة. وبعض التراكيب المقدَّمة تتطلب انقلابًا (inversion)، وبعضها لا يتطلبه.

في التقديم التنازلي (concessive fronting) تأتي الصفة أو الظرف أو الفعل أولًا ثم تتبعها as أو though، وليس although أبدًا: Hard though it was, Kofi admitted the mistake. ومع much نقول Much as I admire her courage, I cannot support the plan. ويظهر الانقلاب مع be أيضًا بعد المكمّلات المقدَّمة: Also important is the cost of training.
