Have something done and advanced passives
تحدّث عن أعمال يقوم بها آخرون من أجلك، واستخدم المبني للمجهول مع الأفعال المساعدة والأزمنة التامة والمستمرة.
نستخدم have + object + past participle عندما يقوم شخص آخر بعمل من أجلنا، وغالبًا لأننا ندفع له أو نطلب منه ذلك. التركيز على النتيجة، لا على الشخص الذي أنجز العمل. وGet + object + past participle لها المعنى نفسه وهي أقل رسمية قليلًا.

يمكن أن يصف التركيب نفسه شيئًا غير مرغوب فيه حدث لك ولم تُرتّب له: Tomás had his flight cancelled because of the fog.

المبني للمجهول الإخباري مثل it is believed وit is thought وit is said شائع في الكتابة الرسمية عندما يكون المصدر عامًا أو مجهولًا. بعد الفاعل استخدم to + المصدر، أو to have + اسم المفعول لفعل سابق.
- It is believed that the island was once joined to the mainland.
- The new stadium is expected to open next year.
- The bridge is thought to have been built around 1400.
