พูดถึงงานที่คนอื่นทำให้เรา และใช้ passive กับ modal กาล perfect และกาล continuous
เราใช้ have + object + past participle เมื่อคนอื่นทำงานให้เรา โดยมักเป็นเพราะเราจ่ายเงินหรือขอให้ทำ จุดเน้นอยู่ที่ผลลัพธ์ ไม่ใช่ผู้ทำงาน Get + object + past participle มีความหมายเดียวกันและไม่เป็นทางการนัก

reporting passive เช่น it is believed, it is thought และ it is said พบบ่อยในงานเขียนทางการเมื่อแหล่งที่มาเป็นสิ่งทั่วไปหรือไม่ทราบ หลังประธานให้ใช้ to + infinitive หรือ to have + past participle สำหรับการกระทำที่เกิดก่อน
- It is believed that the island was once joined to the mainland.
- The new stadium is expected to open next year.
- The bridge is thought to have been built around 1400.
