เชื่อมความคิดและให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับคน สิ่งของ และสถานที่ในประโยคเดียว
relative clause ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับคำนาม อยู่ถัดจากคำนามนั้นทันที และช่วยให้เรารวมสองประโยคสั้นเป็นประโยคเดียว: I have a friend. She speaks five languages. กลายเป็น I have a friend who speaks five languages.
