Posesivos: my, your y 's
Possessives: my, your and 's
Muestra a quién pertenecen las cosas con my, your, his, her, our, their y 's.
Usamos los possessive adjectives (adjetivos posesivos) y 's para decir a quién pertenece algo. Un adjetivo posesivo va antes de un sustantivo. No cambia en singular ni en plural: my book, my books.
| Pronombre sujeto | Posesivo | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| I | my | This is my bag. |
| you | your | Is this your phone? |
| he | his | Ravi loves his dog. |
| she | her | Lena rides her bike to school. |
| it | its | The cat is in its bed. |
| we | our | Our flat is small. |
| they | their | The children are with their teacher. |
Nombres y sustantivos: 's y s'
Después de un nombre o de un sustantivo singular, añade 's: Aiko's car, my brother's room. Después de un sustantivo plural que termina en -s, añade solo un apóstrofo: my parents' house. Los plurales irregulares llevan 's: the children's toys.
- Kofi's sister is a doctor.
- My parents' garden is full of flowers.
- Where are your shoes?
- Sofia and Mina are at their grandmother's house.
- This is our teacher, Mr Okafor.
