Possessivi: my, your e 's
Possessives: my, your and 's
Indica a chi appartengono le cose con my, your, his, her, our, their e 's.
Usiamo i possessive adjectives (aggettivi possessivi) e 's per dire a chi appartiene qualcosa. L'aggettivo possessivo va prima di un nome. Non cambia al singolare o al plurale: my book, my books.
| Pronome soggetto | Possessivo | Esempio |
|---|---|---|
| I | my | This is my bag. |
| you | your | Is this your phone? |
| he | his | Ravi loves his dog. |
| she | her | Lena rides her bike to school. |
| it | its | The cat is in its bed. |
| we | our | Our flat is small. |
| they | their | The children are with their teacher. |
Nomi propri e nomi comuni: 's e s'
Dopo un nome proprio o un nome singolare, aggiungi 's: Aiko's car, my brother's room. Dopo un nome plurale che finisce in -s, aggiungi solo l'apostrofo: my parents' house. I plurali irregolari prendono 's: the children's toys.
- Kofi's sister is a doctor.
- My parents' garden is full of flowers.
- Where are your shoes?
- Sofia and Mina are at their grandmother's house.
- This is our teacher, Mr Okafor.
