Present perfect atau past simple?
Present perfect or past simple?
Pelajari kapan membicarakan waktu yang sudah selesai di masa lalu dan kapan menghubungkan masa lalu dengan sekarang.
Kedua tense ini membicarakan masa lalu, tetapi melihatnya dengan cara yang berbeda. past simple menggambarkan tindakan pada waktu yang sudah selesai: yesterday, last week, in 2019, when I was a child. present perfect (have/has + past participle) menghubungkan masa lalu dengan sekarang. Kita memakainya ketika waktunya belum selesai, ketika waktu tepatnya tidak penting, atau ketika hasilnya penting sekarang.

Kata waktu yang membantu
Kata seperti yesterday, last month, two days ago, dan in 2020 menunjuk waktu yang sudah selesai, jadi dipakai dengan past simple. Kata seperti ever, never, already, yet, just, so far, since, dan for sering dipakai dengan present perfect. Percakapan sering dimulai dengan present perfect lalu beralih ke past simple untuk rinciannya.
