الحذف والاستبدال في الخطاب

تجنّب التكرار باستخدام so وnot وone وdo so والجمل المختصرة، وتعرّف على أنواع الحذف التي تبدو طبيعية.

اختر الصيغة الصحيحة

  1. c) soبعد think نستبدل so بالجملة كلها، ويُكوَّن النفي بالفعل: I don't think so.
  2. b) notIf not تمثّل if the funding is not approved، وهذا منطقي مع cancelling.
  3. c) expectedتستخدم الجملة المختصرة مع than اسم المفعول: better than expected.
  4. d) oneتحل One محل اسم معدود سبق ذكره: a new one.
  5. b) didيحل الفعل المساعد did محل العبارة الفعلية الكاملة called.
  6. c) soبعد جملة مثبتة نستخدم so + فعل مساعد + فاعل.

أكمل الجملة

  1. too / so / as well / likewise / the sameتحل Did too وdid so وdid as well وdid likewise وdid the same جميعها محل offered to help.
  2. notتعني I'm afraid not أنه لم يبقَ أي مقاعد.
  3. was / isThan was necessary هي الصيغة الكاملة للمقارنة.
  4. want / wish / like / choose / care / prefer / decide / need / planيحل المصدر to محل to stay؛ ويصلح أي فعل يمكن أن يتبعه to + المصدر ويستقيم معه المعنى هنا، مثل want وwish وchoose وprefer.
  5. toبعد able يمكننا حذف الفعل وإبقاء to.
  6. oneتحل One محل الاسم المعدود room.
  7. isيتبع Nor فعل مساعد مقلوب: nor is it expected.
  8. others / some / the rest / the othersSome ... others (أو the rest) تقابل بين مجموعتين دون تكرار students.
