For teachers
Free practice you can assign in a minute
Joy English has 565 short dictation lessons and 206 grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and exam practice lessons from A1 to C2. Every lesson page links to a printable worksheet with an answer key and to Google Classroom.
How to use it with a class
- Choose a lesson by level or topic, then copy its address or use Assign in Google Classroom on the lesson page.
- Students open the link and practise. They need no account: their answers and progress stay in their own browser.
- For class or homework, print the worksheet. The answer key is on the last page.
Good to know
- Free to use. An optional account only keeps a learner’s progress across devices.
- Most dictation audio is a text-to-speech voice; 157 dictation lessons use recordings from VOA Learning English.
- Lessons and explanations were drafted with AI tools and checked by a separate AI pass. Not every lesson has been reviewed by a teacher yet, so corrections are welcome.
- Advertisements appear beside and below many pages, depending on the country and consent choices. The exercises, the home page and the stories for children have none.
- The level check is a rough 20-question guide up to B2, not a CEFR test.
