We set cookies only for accounts: one keeps you signed in, and one protects a Google sign-in for up to 10 minutes while it is in progress. Both are strictly necessary for the sign-in you ask for. We do not set advertising cookies ourselves.
Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_8FX635NWXK cookies to recognise repeat visits and count sessions; they last up to two years. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only after you agree in the consent window. Elsewhere they are set unless you choose Decline. Decline removes them from this browser and stops new ones. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. See the Privacy Policy for what Google Analytics receives.
Advertising cookies from MGID
Listening lesson pages load the advertising script of MGID outside the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and in those regions only after you agree in the consent window. MGID and its advertising partners may set or read their own cookies and similar identifiers to deliver, measure and personalise advertisements, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud. Their names and lifetimes are chosen by those companies and described in MGID’s privacy policy. Without that consent, or if your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the script does not load and no advertising cookies are set. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
Consent window from InMobi
In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent window from InMobi, a consent platform that follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, asks for your choices about Google Analytics and advertising before either sets cookies. InMobi stores your choices in cookies and local storage on this site, so that partners can read them and you are not asked on every page. Cookie settings at the bottom of every page reopens the window. It is not shown elsewhere.
Browser storage
We use your browser’s local storage to keep your answers, progress and preferences, so you can continue where you stopped. Local storage also keeps your Google Analytics choice. If you allow optional lesson measurement, local storage also keeps that choice and a random browser identifier, and session storage keeps a random visit identifier. If you are signed in, local storage also notes which account the saved progress belongs to and when each lesson changed, so the newest copy is kept when it syncs with your account; signing out removes your synced progress from this browser. Storage is not a cookie.

Security cookies from Cloudflare
Cloudflare protects this site. If its security checks need to verify unusual traffic, Cloudflare may set a short-lived, strictly necessary cookie. These cookies are not used for advertising.
Managing storage
You can view or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Deleting this site’s storage removes your saved answers and progress on this browser.
