Soluzioni

  1. It was raining hard when Daniel left the restaurant.“Raining hard”: ascolta la terminazione -ing. “Left the” suona come “lef-the”; la t quasi scompare.
  2. He took a black umbrella from the stand by the door.“Took a” si lega: “too-ka”. “By the door” ti dice dove si trovava l’ombrello.
  3. On the way home, he noticed it had a red handle.“Noticed it” si pronuncia legato. “Had a” è debole: “ha-da”.
  4. His own umbrella had a plain wooden one.“One” qui significa “handle”, quindi non senti di nuovo il nome.
  5. He walked back in the rain to find the owner.“Walked back”: la terminazione -ed è un suono t che si unisce a “back”.
