可算名詞と不可算名詞：some, any, much, many
Countable and uncountable nouns: some, any, much, many
数えられる名詞とそうでない名詞を学び、some、any、much、many、a lot of の使い分けを学びます。
Countable（可算）名詞は数えられるものです：one apple, two apples。単数形と複数形があります。Uncountable（不可算）名詞は1つ1つ数えないもので、たとえば water、rice、bread、money、music、information、advice があります。複数形はなく、a や an も使いません。

some と any、much と many
some は肯定文で使います。また、何かを勧めたり頼んだりするときにも使います：Would you like some juice? any は否定文とほとんどの疑問文で使います。many は複数の可算名詞と、much は不可算名詞と一緒に使います。これらは主に否定文と疑問文で使います。肯定文では a lot of のほうが自然です。
- We need some rice and some tomatoes for dinner.
- There isn't any bread left.
- How many cousins do you have?
- I don't have much free time this week.
- Can I have some water, please?
