Wednesday is market day!

Hi, I'm Sofia, and I live in a small town near the sea. Every Wednesday, there is a big market in the main square. It is my favourite day of the week!

The market opens at 7 o'clock in the morning and closes at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. People come from all the villages near the town. They sell fruit, vegetables, cheese, fish, flowers and clothes.

I usually go with my grandmother. She buys fish and tomatoes, and I buy flowers for our kitchen table. We always stop and talk to Mr Diaz. He sells honey, and he always gives me a little spoon of it to taste.

At 11 o'clock, we have a hot chocolate at a small café in the square. Then we walk home with our heavy bags.

Is there a market in your town? What do you buy there? Tell me in the comments!
